As a first-generation college student, Elizabeth Garcia ’16 wanted to reciprocate the generosity made possible by financial aid. While at Harvard, she volunteered by mentoring low-income students in South Boston and served as a director of the student-run Harvard Square Homeless Shelter. But after graduating and getting a job on Wall Street, she wanted something more.
